Robata x CHOYA x Tokyo Lamington: A Sweet September Collaboration 

Melbourne is about to get a taste of Tokyo this September. Robata will team up with global Umeshu icon CHOYA and Australia’s cult dessert-makers Tokyo Lamington for a limited-time collaboration that blends Japanese tradition with playful innovation. 

The drinks list is where the fun starts. Guests can explore The CHOYA Umeshu flight, featuring three unique Umeshus to taste and compare with Robata’s menu. On the cocktail front, The CHOYA Sonic will make its Australian debut — the most popular drink at The CHOYA Ginza Bar in Tokyo — alongside a brand-new Robata team creation, The CHOYA Komorebi.

On the sweeter side, Robata’s pastry chef Sayaka Otsu — recently featured in Broadsheet for her handmade mochi — will unveil the CHOYA x Tokyo Lamington dessert, inspired by Tokyo Lamington’s beloved Japanese Forest lamington, which features CHOYA’s confit ume fruit. And the creativity won’t stop at Robata — Tokyo Lamington will release a special collaboration lamington in-store to round out the experience.  

The full menu will be available at Robata and Tokyo Lamington all September long, starting Wednesday, September 3rd.
