BIG FISH 2025 – A Tuna Carving Matsuri
All he needs is a big fish … and a big knife.
After a sold-out debut in 2024, BIG FISH with Yosuke Furukawa is back — and due to overwhelming demand, we’ve added not one, but two dates: Saturday August 23 and Sunday August 24.
With over 15 years of training and a deep respect for the craft, Chef Yosuke transforms the whole tuna into a stunning five-course menu, prepared and served as the event unfolds. His performance – inspired by his childhood heroes and the theatrical traditions of Japanese festivals – wowed guests in 2024, and promises to be even more spectacular this year.
We’re also thrilled to welcome Oceania Seafoods as our event partner for 2025. With over four decades of experience in selecting, sourcing and handling the finest seafood from around the world, Oceania is Melbourne’s premier supplier of sashimi-grade fish. Their global reach and commitment to excellence ensure unmatched quality – the perfect partner for this celebration of precision and flavour.
