Big Fish With Yosuke Furukawa - 2026

  • Robata 2 Exhibition Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

BIG FISH 2026 with Chef Yosuke Furukawa

All he needs is a big fish … and a big knife.

After two sold-out events in 2025, Big Fish with Chef Yosuke Furukawa returns to Robata for one day only on Saturday August 8.

With more than 15 years of training and a deep respect for the craft, Chef Yosuke transforms an entire Bluefin tuna into a spectacular five-course menu, prepared in real time and served as the event unfolds. Inspired by the theatrical traditions of Japanese festivals and the craftsmanship of Japan's master fishmongers, his live tuna carving performance is equal parts precision, skill and showmanship.

This year, we're once again proud to partner with Oceania Seafoods, Melbourne's leading supplier of premium sashimi-grade seafood. Renowned for sourcing some of the world's finest seafood, Oceania's commitment to quality ensures every cut served during Big Fish is exceptional.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of a traditional matsuri (Japanese festival), Big Fish is more than a lunch, it's an exciting culinary experience celebrating Japanese culture, craftsmanship and the remarkable versatility of Bluefin tuna. The King Of The Sea.
