Last Meal On Earth - Our Team's Final Feast

We all have our pick for the last meal we would eat if the world ended tomorrow. Whether it’s our favourite dessert, a 5 star luxurious feast or Mum’s curried sausages, it’s a diverse mix of interesting dishes that show who we are, where we have been and what we love to eat.

We asked our team what their last meal would be. Some might make you hungry, some might surprise you!

Chef Stephen pays tribute to his days traveling through Argentina, picking a Choripan (chorizo roll) from the San Telmo markets in Buenos Aires.

Our manager Nick chose to keep things more traditional with a rib eye roast. Complete with all the trimmings like roasted potatoes and vegetables, a tasty gravy and a 15 year old Barolo to wash it down.

Chris (Smithy) from the kitchen is catering to his sweet tooth with unbaked passionfruit cheese cake, claiming it’s so much better than baked. There must be something there!

Reservations coordinator Mery opted for a two course starting with “a really good puttanesca” with pappardelle followed by perfectly cooked lamb back strap with dutch carrots and goats cheese. The wine? A Nebbiolo.

Chef Austin is choosing to take the breakfast route with Ricotta Hot Cakes from Bill’s in Sydney. World famous and delicious.

Marketing Manager Britt is all about the aperitivo, selecting smoked trout dip on fresh sour dough bread with potato chips and a classic Negroni.

Operations Manager and Director Ben is going for an old favourite. Ole Del Paso crunchy shell tacos with ground beef, shredded cheese, lettuce and hot salsa. Honestly, we get it!

Our assistant manager Harry is starting his last meal with Rosetta’s truffle butter pasta, then finishing with a smoked lamb leg with zucchini and a spicy BBQ sauce.

Chef and Udon Master Yosuke just wants his chewy homemade udon noodles. Which we can also confirm are the very very best.

Dessert Queen Sayaka, just wants chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate. No wonder she is a pastry chef!

Vy from the kitchen wants to keep it in the family opting for anything cooked by her Mum.

Where Penny, another one of our kitchen team members wants endless fresh seafood. – Crabs, prawns and oysters specifically.

Front of House legend Robby picked her Mum’s puttanesca with all the anchovies and olives. Best combo!

Cook Kaylee is skipping straight to dessert choosing a cheese tart with caramel.

Front Of House’s Kaitlin can’t get enough puffy chicken tacos and breakfast tacos on flour tortillas. Don’t forget a flight of frozen margaritas too!

We had a blast putting this list together, the next time you are with your favourite people ask the question. What would be your last meal on Earth?
